## Relic Edition — Meditations
*"You could leave life right now. Let that determine what you do, say, and think."*
For nearly two thousand years, the words of Marcus Aurelius have survived the empire that gave them birth. Written not for an audience, but for himself, these reflections on virtue, mortality, hardship, and gratitude became one of the most enduring works ever committed to paper.
This Relic Edition bears upon its face the image of Marcus Aurelius himself, divided between life and death. One half remains the philosopher-emperor, the other a reminder that rank, power, and flesh are fleeting. Laurel branches surround him beneath the arches of Rome, symbols of duty, honor, and the triumph of virtue over circumstance.
The reverse bears the ancient hourglass framed by ruined architecture and wreaths of victory. Beneath it rests the passage that has become synonymous with Stoicism:
*"You could leave life right now. Let that determine what you do, say, and think."*
Together, the two covers form a meditation on Memento Mori—the awareness that all things pass, and that wisdom lies not in resisting time, but in making proper use of the time granted.
Finished in aged leather and given the character of a volume that has endured generations, the Relic Edition presents the writings of Marcus Aurelius Antoninus in a form worthy of the thoughts contained within.
Not a celebration of death, but a reminder to live well.
