🔥 Sample Leather Aged by Vault Rites
The bear-stamped leather shown here was aged using legendary techniques from the Vault Codex of Distressing Rites—a 47-rite manual of leather aging used by relic-makers. Available here:
www.etsy.com/ca/listing/1895090649/leather-aging-techniques-pdf-the-vault
Rites used:
Rite II – Steel-Wool Whispering
Rite XI – The Flame’s Kiss
Rite XXVII – Distress Ink Blessing
These rites give your leather the feel of ancient survival—weathered, worn, and wise as the beast it bears.
🔧 Material & Recommended Use
Each stamp is crafted from high-density plastic for clean, consistent impressions and long-term durability.
⚙️ Best used with pressure-based tools:
• Clicker press
• Arbor press
• Drill press (manual pressure only)
• Bench vise (with caution and flat pressure plates)
These methods provide even pressure without striking, which helps preserve both the stamp and your leather surface.
🐂 Recommended for use on cased vegetable-tanned leather placed on a firm backing like HDPE, granite, or cutting board.
I’ve also developed a proprietary technique specifically designed for use with these stamps.
