Shard-Forged Corner Guards — Relic-Grade Book Hardware
Matte Black Standard • Easily Painted & Antiqued
These are Shard-Forged Corners, salvaged from the scattered wreckage of an old vault door—fractured iron geometry, splintered plates, and bolted seams that once held back something far older than the vault itself. Each corner carries the language of broken metal: jagged angles, chiseled scoring, and riveted joints that feel like pieces pried from a shattered war-machine.
Designed as a true L-shaped corner guard for tomes, journals, relic-boxes, or display pieces. The edges lock perfectly onto any book corner and instantly give it the sense of having survived battles and centuries.
Standard Finish:
Matte black — the raw state these corners were recovered in.
This finish is intentionally ideal for painting, weathering, dry-brushing, gilding, aging, or layering with your own style of arcane patina.
Details
Sold as individual corners (choose quantity at checkout).
True L-shape geometry for clean alignment on book corners.
Striking fractured-metal aesthetic: angular planes, riveted joints, broken-plate shapes.
Lightweight but visually heavy—perfect for relic-grade books, fantasy rebinding projects, D&D journals, and diorama builds.
Lore Fragment
Vault archivists refer to these as “Shard Joints”—the last surviving fittings from a barrier that once channeled pressure, heat, and force into its frame. When fixed to a book, they turn any cover into a fragment of that long-ruined machine.
